Andre Davis, a professional wrestler for Ohio State, diagnosed HIV positive: Wrestling News
Ohio State professional wrestler on independent circuit has been diagnosed with HIV. Davis had been wrestling in some bloody matches against his former opponents and for this reason they are also being tested. It has been reported that five wrestlers are
going through HIV tests presently.
Davis was alleged to have relations with several women without any protection. The women were not aware of it and they are also liable to fall prey to this disease. Davis kept on wrestling through 2010, even though his disease was discovered in 2009. He
is confirmed of having the disease and admitted that he is a victim of the syndrome.
According to a local news channel, Davis knowingly slept with someone in an apartment for three occasions back in March. They said that Davis didn’t reveal to his partner that he is HIV positive. He was taken into custody by the police. Davis has been accused
of second-degree aberrant physical attack.
Davis was also hired as a referee by the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) but later WWE withdrew their offer because they came to know that he is HIV positive. Dave Meltzer, a reporter said, “Area referee Brandon Tolle noted that at least five area wrestlers
are being tested after they worked bloody matches with him, and Tolle refereed bloody matches with him.”
Abdullah the Butcher, a former wrestler, was also convicted of having Hepatitis-C recently as he had passed it to other wrestlers as well during his wrestling matches. This seems to happen because the companies in international wrestling circuit do not have
tests of their wrestlers. WWE is the only wrestling company that takes a notice of these tests on regular basis to help the promotion of safe wrestling and to prevent developing consequences that lead to the downfall of the sport.
Bleeding had played a vital role in professional wrestling from last forty years but that is not seen much now inside the wrestling ring. It is the best time for all the independent professional wrestlers to step up and rise together for the refusal of bleeding
inside the ring to put a stop to these life-threatening diseases in future.
