Andre Greipel wins the second stage of the Ster ZLM Toer GP Jan van Heeswijk 2012
Andre Greipel of Team Lotto Belisol fills his pocket with yet another stage win after his splendid performance during the stage 2 of the Ster ZLM Toer.
The cyclist was impressive during the event and completed the 167 kilometre race in a quickest time of 4 hours, 13 minutes and 26 seconds.
The German was up against the reigning UCI Road World Champion Mark Cavendish and he managed to restrict the Manxman after an intense competition.
Greipel managed to secure his 13th victory of the season with Mark Cavendish of Team Sky and Mark Renshaw of Team Rabobank holding the finishing at the second and the third spots.
Greg Henderson of Team Lotto Belisol Team, Kenny Robert Van Hummel of Team Vacansoleil-DCM and Marcel Kittel of Team Argos-Shimano achieves the fourth, the fifth and the sixth positions respectively.
Andre is having an exceptional season with over a dozen stage victories in his bag already, his first win came during the very first road race of the season, Cancer Council Helpline Classics.
The cyclist bagged three stages at the UCI Inaugural event, the Santos Tour Down Under, two at the Tour of Oman, one stage at the Tour of Turkey, three stages at the Tour of Belgium and two at the Tour de Luxembourg.
