  1. Either one of those guys are great picks but personally I would go with Colston. The Saints are coming off a  bad year and Colston started coming around at the end of the year last year and with Duece coming back that should open up the passing game a lot more. Johnson is on a worse team and I just don't trust him for a full season. Now T.J. would be the most reliable choice, but he is still a number 2 WR on his own team. Chad seams to being doing fine now and he is in for a big year after being called out for a lackluster season.

  2. definitely Houshmandzadeh. Good QB and on a team that likes to throw all the time.

  3. Right now, i would take Colston. Because Johnson is still recovering from an injury, an TJ has been hurt every year but last. If johnson comes out in camp and Pre-season and proves he is ok, then i would definitely take him, He is a beast and he has the best backup QB of the lot, so even if Schaub goes down, they don't lose a thing with Rosenfels, who filled in quite well last year.

  4. 1. Johnson

    2. Houshmandzadeh

    3. Colston

But it's close.  Johnson, if healthy, should be the best of the three by a fair margin, but of course he missed half of last year, so...Housh should catch a lot of passes and score a good amount of TDs, but his yards per rec. is not great.  Colston has been very consistent in his two years in the league, and he is Brees' favorite target, but unless N.O. finds a WR to take coverage away from him his upside is a bit limited.

  5. andre johnson would be your best choice because he is simply the most talented receiver and gets the most TDs as well as yardage. TJ would probably be second best, because he is very consistent

  6. Andre Johnson is a beast

  7. Andre Johnson, when you play with a horrible team and you are an all-star calliber player, that means the team is going to try to get the ball to you as much as often.  Colston is not even close the the other two.  And T.J. has to share the WR spot with Chad Johnson, and the Bengals have Rudi Johnson and Kenny Watson together this year which means they will run the ball more.

  8. Either Colston or TJ, they play a central role in offenses that rely heavily on the passing game.

As a plus, their QBs are the two best in the league whose names are not Peyton Manning or Tom Brady.

  9. Hi coolnman2000baby,

That is a very good question because all 3 players are top 15 wide receivers.  Each has their pros and cons:

    Colston

Pro: Has performed consistently over 2 years and is Brees' #1 target.

Con: Only thing I can think of is the Brees spreads the ball around well, which means his numbers aren't as high as they would be on another team.

    Johnson

Pro: Always produces when on the field.  With Scaub entering his second second, this duo should improve over their 2007 numbers.

Con: Has missed significant time due to injuries and hasn't put together a full season yet.

    TJ

Pro: Numbers have improved each year and is very consistent.

Con: Has one of the best WR in the leagues stealing receptions from him, which hurts his numbers.

The best two of the group are Colston and Johnson, and the choice between the two boils down to whether or not Johnson can play the entire season without getting injured.  If you think he can, then take a chance on him, if not Colston is a safe pick and a lock to produce.

I have Colston at 9th, Johnson at 11th, and TJ at 13th.  If you want to see my full WR listings, check out the link in my source list.  On my site you can create your own WR rankings using drag and drop, then generate a printable cheat sheet to take to your fantasy draft.  It's free.

  10. tj. he went to the pro bowl last year

  11. Andre has a terrible team, so expect him to get the ball thrown to him alot. Sice Andre has a pretty good line expect him to have a great season. Colston is not in the same league as TJ and andre. But when you look at Tj he has a great team, but the bengals have a good running game and TJ has to compete with Chad Johnson for receptions. SO do you go with the guy with the great team, but might not get that many passes thrown to him or the guy who's an incredible receiver with a terrible team and inconsistent QB. I think you should take Andre because I beleive Matt Schaub will have a good year and Andre is good enough to put together an incredible season.

  12. I had TJ and Andre on my team last year and liked them both.  Johnson is better talent wise and was actually 3rd in points per start for WRs behind Moss and Owens.  Problem is he seems to get hurt.

TJ and Colston tied for 10th in points per start.  I don't think you can go wrong with either.
