Andre Nel attempts suicide after affair expose
It was reported by South African newspapers that former South African cricketer Andre Nel has allegedly attempted suicide after his infidelity became public knowledge. In an expose by a newspaper, Nel is said to have been involved in a relationship with
Jelena Kultiasova, a Latvian he met in London.

Nel has been married to Deanne Weitz since 2004 and is expecting their first child. It was also reported that Nel attempted suicide after it was revealed that he had affairs with two other women including an alleged prostitute.

Weitz spoke on a radio channel in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Africa-c757 and admitted Nel had already spoken to her about the affairs and they had gone through their set of squabbles and counselling to try to sort it out. She also blamed the media for raking up an old issue and that
they had “rubbed salt in a very sensitive wound.”

Weitz also said, "It's not suitable that the whole of South Africa knows what is going on in my life and they seem to be enjoying it,”

Nel claimed earlier that his relation with Kultiasova had ended on September 20 and had described it as "friends with benefits".

Nel was dealt another blow when two other women, from Durban and London respectively, also revealed details of their relationship with the cricketer. This was backed up with photographs that the pair supplied to The Times.

According to Weitz, she had spoken to the two women on a social networking website, but brushed them off. She also said that it was disappointing that the two women had gone public with the affairs, “just to get their 15 minutes of fame”.

Rather surprisingly, she did not say anything about the reported suicide attempt. She said, "I don't want to comment on that, André has hit rock bottom and he's lower than any person could be in his life. For a man, he is in a very, very bad place,"

Nel is a fast bowler who played for South Africa between 2001 and 2008.
