Andre Schurrle hoping to return to form ahead of the game against Borussia Monchengladbach
Bayer Leverkusen striker Andre Schurrle has expressed desire to return to form ahead of the next league game against Borussia Monchengladbach. The player has so far failed to open his account for the Werkself and is now feeling the heat.
Schurrle also hailed the DFB scouting system which has produced some top quality players. He told that it is the same system which introduced him to the international scene and hopes to see more players coming forward through this approved setup.
The striker admitted his poor run of form for the Werkself but is confident of getting over this lean patch in the coming days. He also showed pleasure at the upcoming international break which he believes will allow him time to settle down.
The player claimed that it won’t take him much longer to get back into his groove and is looking forward to open his account against the last season’s relegation contenders. Bayer will travel away to Borussia Park to take on the Foals on Saturday, October
15.
While talking to local website regarding his current form, the youngster further added, "I've still got plenty of room for improvement. Our form so far this season has been patchy. We've set some ambitious targets and with our team, we should be challenging
at the top of the table.
Praising Leverkusen, the player added:
“You can tell that Leverkusen are a top top club. In Mainz it was all very familial and a bit smaller, although very professional all the same. At Bayer it's all a bit bigger, if only because of the star names in our squad."
Schurrle started his professional career with Mainz in 2009 and made 66 league appearances for the O-Fives netting 20 goals in return. The DFB scouting system allowed the youngster to make his http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904 debut in 2010 and has represented his country on eight
occasions bagging four goals during the process.
The former Mainz player has made six league appearances this season but is still searching for that opening goal which would kick-start his career.
