AVB has come out and said that he feels that he can be sacked by Roman Abramovich perhaps at the end of the Premier League season due to his team’s lack of form as well as their lack of success in the 2011-2012 season...
Andre Villas Boas has revealed that he might be losing the backing of Chelsea’s Russian owner Abramovich after his team’s lack lustre form for most of the 2011-2012 Premier League season. AVB was appointed as Chelsea’s manager
in the last year’s summer transfer window when http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 managed to convince him to move away from Porto and join them at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League.
The Portuguese tactician has found it hard to adapt to life in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 and his methods have also not been greeted with a warm round of applause at Stamford Bridge which has seemed divided as times between supporters of his regime
as well as those who want to see him out of the club. Villas Boas’ Chelsea made easy work of Bolton Wanderers at the weekend but they suffered another injury blow as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Didier-Drogba-c11044 limped out of the match against the relegation contenders.
Villas Boas has previously been quite assured about his future at Chelsea as he has repeatedly claimed that his relationship with Roman Abramovich is fine and he has the full backed of his boss. However the Portuguese manager has
also admitted that his relationship with some of the players at the club is not where it should be.
He said, "We are now in the exact same moment as last year. It is an exact copy. The pattern of behaviour of the owner has led to a (manager's) downfall in similar situations or even 'better' situations. What will be the reaction?
It will be one of the two, a continuation of the project and full support or just the cultural pattern that has happened before. We don't know."
Chelsea’s manager will hope that his team can carry on their win against Bolton and turn their three points against the relegation threatened side into a morale boosting run of form till the end of the season and secure UEFA Champions
League football for next season in doing so.
