Andre Villas-Boas confident that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 can win the Champions League
Newly appointed Chelsea manager, Andre Villas-Boas has gone on to state that he is confident over the fact that the Blues can go on to land the UEFA Champions League, this coming season.
Chelsea have been in the hunt to land the Champions League, for quite some time and it seems like Villas-Boas, might just be the man to help them do so.
Roman Abramovich, the owner of Chelsea, has gone on to splash around countless heaps of cash in order to attain the trophy and perhaps his efforts might finally pay off this time around.
A highly confident Villas-Boas, when talking about the Champions League is quoted to have said: “In the next years, for sure, the trophy will arrive in this club”
“Chelsea have been in a couple of semi-finals and also one final in recent times.
“I don't see why we can't go on to win it.”
The manager then went on to hint that there are a number of signings that the Blues are going to be making in the coming weeks. The manager suggested that the pre-season was his way of figuring out what aspects of the team needed improvement and that he
would do his best in the market, to try and make the team invincible.
The thirty three year old, when talking about the club’s future activities in the transfer market is quoted to have said: “We need to get the most information possible”
“Hopefully we can do the deal that we want.”
“I will use all 26 of my players in the tour and we will make a decision once the tour is over.”
The manager then went on to conclude by stating that he already possessed a highly talented squad and that only minor tinkering was required at the moment.
“There is plenty of talent in this squad. I believe the players can still find new things in them to exploit and I want to fulfil the potential of their talent.”
Villas-Boas , is currently on cloud nine having won the Europa League with Porto this past season. The manager seems to be following in the footsteps of Jose Mourinho, who also joined Chelsea, following his brilliant run in with the Portuguese clubs.
Nonetheless, many are maintaining a firm stance over the fact that Villas-Boas might be able to do that, which the ‘Special One’ failed to, as he guides Chelsea towards European glory.
However, it is now a wait to see just how the manager holds up, once the season kicks off.
