The former Chelsea manager has iterated that Tottenham’s squad requires another striker to really become a force and challenge for a UEFA Champions League qualification spot next season in the English Premier League following
the departure of their former manager, Harry Redknapp...
Andre Villas Boas has iterated that his team need to sign another striker to bolster their offensive department as their current crop of players lack the right firepower to really push for the UEFA Champions League qualification
place.
Tottenham finished fourth last season and under normal conditions, such a finish would’ve been enough to grant them a place in the UEFA Champions League qualification rounds but http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786’s win in the Champions League final against
Bayern Munich changed all that. Chelsea were granted Tottenham’s spot in the qualification rounds as a result and now Tottenham will compete in Europa League in the next league season rather than the Champions League.
Harry Redknapp was dismissed from his role as Tottenham’s manager after the season ended and now Andre Villas Boas has been made in-charge of the North London outfit. The former Chelsea man hasn’t yet proved himself in the Premier
League but a club like Tottenham might be the perfect place to do that as it matches his style of play.
Villas Boas said, "We are always looking for one more striker since it's a position that we're looking to strengthen. I think taking three strikers into a Premiership season is more than enough. Sometimes it's not, but hopefully
it is. We're trying to bring somebody else in."
Tottenham have been looking to part ways with Jermaine Defoe and perhaps bring in Adebayor from Manchester City as his replacement. The Togolese striker spent the last season on loan at White Hart Lane and formed a good understanding
with other players but there are concerns with his wage demands as well as a possible transfer fee which will be given to Manchester City.
Reports also suggest that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926 interested in the Italian striker as well. It remains to be seen who will come to White Hart Lane but one thing is certain that
Villas Boas will try his best to secure Adebayor’s signature from City before the transfer window draws to a close.
