Andre Villas-Boas on the radar of Italian Giants Inter Milan – Portuguese Primeira Liga report
After being snubbed by Sinisa Mihajlovic, Inter Milan have their sights set on Porto manager, Andre Villas Boas, as the replacement for ex-coach Leonardo.
Inter were robbed of their Serie A title by archrivals AC Milan and were dumped out of the UEFA Champions League by Schalke 04, but they are planning to reach the heights they once set and have identified Andre Villas Boas to lead them there.
Just like his predecessor, the new ‘Special One’ boasts an impressive track record with Porto; he managed to win a quadruple of UEFA Europa League, Portuguese League, Portuguese Super Cup and the Portuguese Cup – all in his first season in charge!

The Nerazzurri struggled for most of the season under Rafael Benitez until he got the axe but improved under Leonardo and won the Coppa Italia during his reign.
But Leonardo’s exodus has led to Inter being linked with a host of top managers in the game, but none of them have enjoyed as much success this season as Villas-Boas.
One of the main differences between him and the rest of the managers on Inter’s list is that Villas-Boas did not play the game professionally. It was only under persuasion from legendary Sir Bobby Robson that he took up coaching. And not to forger, has also
been the assistant manager to Jose Mourinho at the San Siro.
