The President of Juventus football club has lashed out at the system of justice prevalent in sports in Italy; making a few accusations against them along the way.
Juventus have always been hard done by the sporting justice system prevalent in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926, or so they say. The Bianconeri have had a history of tussles with the sporting officials of the club and it started after the Calciopoli match fixing controversy. The Italian outfit claim their innocence to this day and still argue against the sentence levied against them while other clubs went scot free.
Juventus were initially demoted to Serie C with a hefty fine, however, after a successful appeal they were relegated to the Serie B. Even though the club was successful in securing promotion in the upcoming season, it was only till last season that they were able to win the Scudetto again after 2006. Juve was also stripped of the last two Serie A Championships won under the reign of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fabio-c13152 Capello in 2005 and 2006, and the club is still at odds over the harsh treatment they received in the hearing.
Andrea Agnelli has stated that the sporting justice system has failed them once again after brandishing a 10 month ban against their current coach, Antonio Conte. Agnelli, the club patron, has remarked and accused the sporting system of systematically hunting Juventus, and remarked:
“For many months I have observed this situation with incredulity, accompanied by a growing sense of shock, for a sporting justice system that increasingly resembles a witch-hunt.”
He went on to comment on the absurdity of the claims and remarked that the system needs to reassess the situation and get a proper perspective on the issue at hand. He further went on to comment on his rationale and said that it was amazing at the quickness of brandishing judgments, and remarked:
“The entire sporting justice system is happy to perform quick trials with asymmetric approach to different cases, people or worse clubs and with barbaric methods that do not belong in a democracy."
Antonio Conte’s appeal against the ban was also rejected by the sporting authorities.
