The former Wolfsburg centre-back reiterated his desire to stay with the Turin outfit and stated that he’s been impressed with the signings made by the club.
The Azzurri national player has been an integral part of the Scudetto winning side led by the coaching of Antonio Conte. Barzagli was ever present in the Juventus side and had an extremely consistent season.
Barzagli went on to state that he was enjoying life in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926 after his move in the winter of 2011 from Germany. The defender was talking to the Gazzetta dello Sport and in his conversation, he went on to mention that he was content in Italy. He was quoted
to have said:
“I would like to stay at Juventus for life. I came back to Italy from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904 and I think I have settled well. We won a splendid Scudetto. I am now 31-years-old and I have no desire to move away from Turin now.”
Juventus seemed to have lost the plot during the last quarter of the season, when they started drawing a lot of matches, but they picked momentum and eventually made their way past the then reigning Italian Champions, AC Milan.
The Italian champions have been very busy in the transfer market, having signed Mauricio Isla and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Kwadwo-Asamoah-c21502. Barzagli was really happy with the current signings and was assured that Antonio Conte would make the right calls, and mentioned:
“The new campaign is already looking good for Juventus. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mauricio-Isla-c24922 and Kwadwo Asamoah are two great signings from Udinese.”
Juventus have been very active in the transfer window and there are reports of fully signing http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sebastian-Giovinco-c32724 from Parma, and Marco Verratti from Pescara.
The former Palermo player suffered from a calf strain which he picked up against the Russians on the 1st of June, in the warm up friendly preceding the European Championships. He finally made his way back into the national team against the Republic
of Ireland where he put in an assured display for La Nazionale.
Italy will be contesting the quarter-finals of the European Championships against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749, who were the Group D winners.
