The Juventus-man’s participation in the European tournament was threatened by a calf-strain, but he has now declared that he has regained his match fitness in time for the last group match against the Boys in Green.
Barzagli stated that while he feels ready to play for his national side, the final decision on his fielding will rest with Prandelli.
The Bianconeri centre-back stressed that with midfielder De Rossi doing so well in the central defence for the Azzurri, he will have no trouble moving to the right or to the left of the AS Roma-man in the 3-5-2 system.
While talking to the press, the 31-year-old said:

The Juventus defender slammed the media for exaggerating the speculation on the matter, and stressed that nobody in the Italian camp believes that any team will indulge in such anti-sporting activities.
“It’s true that it has already happened in football, but we are not thinking about this possibility. We only want to win our game.” He added.
