Day 5 of the WPT Venice took off with merely 15 contestants in the race to glory. The only member of the coveted WPT Champions Club alive in the contest was Roberto Romanello, who has been very aggressive throughout the tournament.
He was eliminated in the 15th place, with only $8,986 in his pocket.
Andrea Benelli eliminated in a three-way battle at number five

In the hand which proved to be his last one in the tournament, Andrea Benelli threw all of his 76,000 in the pot, followed by an eager call from Steve O’Dwyer. Michael Caroli didn’t hesitate to answer the call and the cards were
revealed by the three contestants playing the hand.
O’Dwyer: queen of clubs, ten of spades

Caroli     : king of hearts, three of hearts

Benelli   : king of clubs, ten of hearts
Caroli broke in the lead when a nine of clubs, eight of clubs and a two of hearts hit the flop. Benelli was desperately in need of a king on the remaining two cards on the board but a queen of spades on the turn shifted the momentum
on O’Dwyer’s side. Another queen on the river marked an end to Benelli’s voyage at the WPT Venice, as O’Dwyer takes the pot his trip queens.
