Andrea Dovizioso not satisfied with 4th position finish at Motegi – MotoGP news
Andrea Dovizioso of Monster Yamaha Tech3 managed attaining 4th position in the Japanese Grand Prix however he is not satisfied with his achievement.
He faced problems with his bike in the beginning of the race which resolved later but he had lost valuable time until then.
He told that it is hard to remain satisfied with his 4th position because of several reasons. The Monster Yamaha Tech3 rider was having issues with the speed of his bike and the brakes were not efficient as well.
Dovizioso said, “It's hard to be satisfied with this fourth place and there is a few reasons why. First of all I was not as fast as I believe I should be. It was actually a strange weekend because of the problems with the brakes.”
He added that he had to keep some margin in the corner because he was unable to stop as he normally does. He told that his riding experience at the Japanese circuit was not as good and he had anticipated therefore he believes that his fourth position at
the Motegi circuit is not so bad.
Furthermore, he said that he was unable to get to his teammate Cal Crutchlow and Alvaro Bautista of San Carlo Honda Gresini. He is looking forward to the upcoming Malaysian Grand Prix held at the Sepang circuit and believes that he will be fighting for the
podium.
“I did not ride as smooth as I wanted as well, so I could not catch up to Alvaro and Cal. It's a pity because I expected more from this weekend, so I suppose fourth is not so bad. Now I'm loo king forward to going to Sepang next week,” he added.
Dovizioso believes that his 4th position is not so bad considering the performance of the bike yet he had expected more from the Japanese GP. He added that Motegi is hard on braking as well which could have caused problems.
The Monster Yamaha Tech3 riders fight to get ahead of each other however at the Japanese GP Cal Crutchlow suffered an incident and was unable to make it to the finish line.
