The Bianconeri midfielder believes that the Azzurri is very much like Juventus, and insists that they will go for the trophy in the upcoming Euro 2012.
Andrea Pirlo believes that Italy may not be favourites to win the Euros, but they are sure to shine in the upcoming tournament.
The Old Lady playmaker has been included in Cesare Prandelli’s squad ahead of the European competition, after leading Juventus to a spectacular victory in Serie A.
Pirlo stated that just a year ago AC Milan refused him a contract because they thought he was over, but laughed that he has come a long way since then.
The Bianconeri midfielder stated that he is unsure if he will be able to keep his place in Italy squad until the 2014 World Cup, but insisted that he wants to remain useful for the team for as long as possible.
While talking to the press, the 33-year-old said:
“At Milan they thought I was finished, but here I am...I don’t know if I will continue my Azzurri career until the 2014 World Cup. We’ll see if I am still useful and will still be called up.”
Cesare Prandelli recently hailed the veteran playmaker as key to their success in the upcoming Euro 2012.
Pirlo stated that their objective is to reach out for the trophy in the European competition, and believes that Italy may not be the favourites, but they have it in them to finish in the top-four.
The Bianconeri midfielder stated that Spain are the reigning champions of everything and will start as the favourites, but pointed out that there are several top sides in the tournament that can give the Spanish a run for their
money.
“Our objective is to go all the way in this competition. We are not among the favourites and we know that, but I am convinced http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011 are the reigning World and European Champions, so clearly they

The Old Lady playmaker stated that the Azzurri has an inner strength much like that of Juventus, and insisted that they have everything they need to return home with the Euro trophy.
