The Bianconeri playmaker has warned his teammates to remain focused on winning the Serie A as there is still a long way to go.
Juventus playmaker, Andrea Pirlo, has urged his teammates to remain consistent and continue their good form, as there is still a lot of work to do before the season ends.
Pirlo insists that a lot of teams have emerged as title contenders, so the Turin giants must carry forward their form to the second part of the season.
The Italian international was talking to the media recently where he expressed his point of view regarding the current situation of the Lady Killers. Pirlo said:
“We’re happy to be top at the half-way point of the season, but we’re aware that the championship is finely balanced and we know that we still haven't achieved anything. The judgements will be made at the end of the season, but
for now it’s important to be ahead.”
Juve revamped their squad before the 2011/12 season, and appointed Antonio Conte as the new manager. Pirlo, who also joined the Old Lady in the summer from A.C Milan, believes that the young squad has performed extremely well and
they are moving in the right direction.
“The assessment up until now is more than positive. We started with a new team and a new Coach and have had a great run, taking each game as it comes, whilst improving our play,” concluded the Italian international.
Juventus are top of the league table half-way into the season, and are still unbeaten in 19 league matches. The Lady Killers lead second-placed A.C Milan by just one point, while Udinese and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan are not far behind.
La Vecchia Signora have also advanced to the semi-finals of Coppa Italia after their convincing 3-0 win over AS http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603 in the last eight round recently. Pirlo is eyeing domestic silverware in his debut season with Juventus, and wants
to win the UEFA Champions League next season.
