The tactician admitted that the Europa League is a different competition than the elite European tournament, but insisted that the experience of playing in Europe's second-tier competition is important for the team.
While talking to Sky Sport 24, the 36-yaer-old said:
“We know that we haven’t gotten into the Champions League. The Europa League is very different, but it was still important to qualify for Europe.”
