The Nerazzurri chief insists that the club directors are working on ways to elevate the Beneamata to their former glory; welcomes links with Siena’s Mattia Destro.
Andrea Stramaccioni is delighted at the prospect of signing http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ezequiel-Lavezzi-c13073 and Mattia Destro, and insists that other negotiations are also in advanced phase.
Reports suggest that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan are gearing up to bid for the Argentinean , and the summer shopping list for the club also includes the name of the Siena striker.
The Biscione finished sixth in Serie A, after a dismal campaign that saw the team go through three coaching changes in a single season. However, with the appointment of Stramaccioni, the Nerazzurri were able to pick themselves
considerably, and also beat AC Milan in a last hurrah to an overall disappointing campaign.
The Nerazzurri boss insisted that the Beneamata directors are already at work to take the club back to the top of Serie A, and revealed that some player negotiations are already nearing completion.
While talking to Gazzetta dello Sport, the 36-year-old stated:
“Our directors are already working to get Inter back to great levels and I can reveal that some negotiations are well advanced.”
The former Primavera coach admitted to the club’s interest in Destro, and insisted that there is nothing to doubt the talent of the striker or the value that he can bring to the Milan outfit.
The Beneamata coach went on to state that the inclusion of Lavezzi into Inter Milan squad will be a big boost for the club, and insisted that the attacker has already demonstrated that he is a very effective player at the international
stage.
“Destro has had a great season and he has demonstrated his value. Lavezzi, meanwhile, has shown this term that he can make a difference on the international stage.”
Lavezzi has a €31m release clause in his contract with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003, and the Nerazzurri are reportedly lining up a player plus cash offer for the Azzurri ace.
Siena’s Destro has been included in Cesare Prandelli’s 32-man squad, and Juventus are also reported to be interested in acquiring the services of the aggressor, who is co-owned by Genoa.
