The coach of the Nerazzurri outfit has gone on to state that despite being impressed by his side’s determination to draw level against Vaslui; they need to improve.
Inter were playing at the San Siro and it seems like the Beneamata have developed a tendency of creating anxiety at the Giuseppe Meazza. In their last European encounter at home, Inter Milan were facing off Hajduk Split, and the Nerazzurri outfit made a
meal of their lead in the first leg, as they barely managed to make it through to the next round.
The Croatian outfit won at the San Siro by 2-0, however, thankfully for Stramaccioni his side were defending a 3-0 lead. They did not make the same mistakes like they did against Hajduk in the match against Vaslui; however, the Internazionale outfit lost
their goalkeeper, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Luca-Castellazzi-c22508 in the first half of the match, after the goalkeeper was shown a red card.
The Romanian outfit scored from the resulting penalty kick and that made it the worst possible start Strama could have hoped for. However, the team showed its resilience and strength by coming back into the game. The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan Primavera head coach
went on to state that despite not playing to their usual high standards the team made ample amount of chances in the match. He further conceded:
“Inter didn’t play 30 sparkling minutes as we have in other matches, but we hit the crossbar and cut out other clear chances.”
He went on to state that the penalty conceded was a big blow, however, he kept his faith in the team and knew that they would be able to turn the odds into their favour.
He remarked:
“Then of course the penalty changed everything, but I choose to see the glass half full because over 60 minutes we showed something important. We showed we didn’t want to simply content ourselves and that we wanted to qualify at all costs.”
He lauded his team for absorbing the attacks of the Romanian outfit, despite going down to ten men, and congratulated his players for keeping their spirits intact during the match.
