Roberto Samaden backs the newly-appointed Inter Milan head-coach for success; the tactician widely described as Italian Andre Villas-Boas
New Inter Milan manager, Andrea Stramaccioni, has drawn comparisons with former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 boss, Andre Villas-Boas.
Stramaccioni, who was the coach of Inter’s youth setup, was handed the charge of the senior team after Claudio Ranieri was sacked by the higher management. The 36-year-old has become the third manager for the Nerazzurri this season,
after Gian Piero Gasperini and Ranieri.
The Beneamata had a dreadful start to the 2011/12 season under Gasperini, which led to the manager’s dismissal. Ranieri replaced the former Genoa boss, and led the club to a wonderful run of form, remaining unbeaten in seven consecutive
matches. However, things started to shape up badly for the former Italian Champions, as they were knocked out of the UEFA Champions League last 16 round. Their league form witnessed a terrible slump too, as they have dropped to 8th position in the
league standings.
Stramaccioni led the Nerazzurri Primavera team to a victory in the youth Champions League, after beating Ajax on penalties.
The director of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567’s youth academy, Roberto Samaden, insists that this is for the first time that a manager from the youth level has been promoted by the club, and Massimo Moratti has high hopes of the young manager.
Samaden acknowledged the hard work of the new manager at the youth level, but believes that it will take some time for him to settle at the bigger stage.
While talking to the reporters, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roberto-c31294 Samaden said:
“President Moratti has always valued the youth sector. This is certainly a new experience, because nothing like this had ever happened before. It’s unprecedented, but we face it with a calm approach. In all honesty, it was very
difficult for Stramaccioni to think he would climb up the ladder so quickly.”
“When we hired him, the idea was to start with a new project, but we never imagined things would progress so fast. I’ve known him for a long time, so I know how intelligent and humble he is.”
Stramaccioni’s first test at the bigger stage will be in a league game against Genoa on Sunday, April 1.
