The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/U-17-Youth-team-c40787 head coach has gone on to state that he is extremely happy by the performance of his players against Neftci in the Europa League.
The Nerazzurri outfit were away to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Azerbaijan-c2845 in their quest of securing progression into the latter rounds of the Europa League, and Andrea Stramaccioni fielded a relatively young and inexperienced side for the challenge.
The youngsters rose to the occasion and were instrumental in their mission to Azerbaijan, and Stramaccioni was all praise for the level of football played by the Nerazzurri outfit. The Beneamata outfit were ruthless in their attack and made sure that they
would be looking to be in pole position by the end of the first half.
They did exactly that by putting the match in the bag by the end of the first half. This is a great achievement, especially given the fact that Strama rested many key players for the trip to Azerbaijan. Stramaccioni was full of praise for his troops and
remarked that the fact that the second string team did so well was an extremely positive sign.
When talking about the changes he made from the match against Fiorentina, the former Primavera head coach remarked that there was a lot of optimism following the match against Neftci. He went on to comment that such a solid performance was a clear indication
that the team was heading in a good direction, where the whole unit was heading in a positive light.
He further remarked that there many stars of the future playing in the team, and mentioned that there were teenagers playing in the match. Strama also mentioned:
“We knew it would be a difficult game, but Inter played a great first half. There were only three players who also started against Fiorentina, so maintaining a certain shape and character away from home means the whole group is growing together. There were
five players who are under 20 years old and these are important signals, because it means we are building a new era.”
The Nerazzurri outfit were 3-1 winners on the night.
