Andrea eyeing a move to Serie A outfit Juventus
Italian international http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Andrea-Barzagli-c5669 is allegedly planning to return back to his homeland, to join the Turin-based Serie A outfit, Juventus FC.
The defender currently plays for the Bundesliga club, VfL Wolfburg as a centre back. After a successful debut season in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904, the player has failed to rediscover his best form and even though Barzagli is still a vital member of the Wolfsburg first team,
the player wants a return to Serie A. Wolfsburg’s tumbling league performances have not helped the matter either. Juventus are expected to offer 1 million Euros for the player’s signature.
Barzagli’s agent, Claudio Orlandoni, has spoken to the media recently, and believes the Italian will make the switch next week.
“At the beginning of next week, the player will be in Turin. There remain a few details to fix.”
The fact that Barzagli wasn’t called up for the VfL Wolfburg—FSV Mainz clash proves that the Italian is packing his bag for the journey back home. The Zebras have been showing interest in the defender for some time now and finally Steve McClaren has let
him go.
Juventus possess just two quality centre backs at the moment, Giorgia Chiellini and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Leonardo-Bonucci-c22064. Nicknamed Il Capitano del Futuro , Chiellini is wildly touted to be the future captain of the Italian national team and Juventus. Bonucci, on the other
hand, is an emerging defender and will certainly earn a permanent berth in the national team. Their only replacement, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Nicola-Legrottaglie-c27757 isn’t Juventus quality player, and is not getting any younger. Acquisition of Barzagli therefore, will be a solid entry
into the team to strengthen the defence.
Andrea’s professional career burst into life in 1998, when he joined the Italian club Rondinella SS. Since then, he has had stints with several Italian clubs till he joined the current Bundesliga unit, Wolfburg. In 2008, the Italian was on the verge of joining
the native club, ASF Fiorentina, until the deal fell off and he voyaged to Germany instead. The deal with Fiorentina faced some financial disagreements and the Viola management refused to consider the offer made by Andrea’s agent.
Currently sixth on the points table with 34 points at-hand, Juventus will be looking forward to the new entrant, as they continue quest to fight for the top-3 slot in Serie A to supersede SS http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lazio-c39775. SS Lazio are presently at third position. Eduorado Reja’s
men are a mere three points ahead of the Zebras.
