The Hoffenheim skipper claims that the side has been inconsistent in the first six months and aims to improve home form.
Hoffenheim have had a mixed first-half of the campaign in the Bundesliga and currently sit in ninth place on the standings table with 22 points. The side is three points behind Bayer Leverkusen, who occupy the final UEFA Europa
League place.
Beck admitted that the club has had a mixed first six months of the campaign thus far and claimed that the team has at times played some sensational football, but also have been plain average at times. He rued missed chances in
the campaign and stated that the team has dropped far too many points in the course of the season.

“I guess that's kind of true. We beat the champions, Borussia Dortmund, and put in a superb tactical display against Bayern, but then we threw away several points in the final minutes of games. Take our last three home games: We
gave away the lead three times and ended up being held to a 1-1 draw,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
The German international is satisfied with the team’s preparations in the winter break and admitted that the team is ready to take on Hannover in the next Bundesliga fixture. The two teams are separated by only one point and will
clash at the Rhein-Neckar-Arena on Saturday, January 21.
“Our preparations ended with the match against St. Pauli. We're preparing intensely for the game against Hannover and we want to kick of the second half of the season with a win,” he concluded.
