Die Roten attacker has been dealt a huge blow after returning from a two-year injury lay-off by tearing his cruciate knee ligaments in the match against Nurnberg on Wednesday.
Hannover midfielder http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Leon-Andreasen-c22027 sustained an injury with only ten minutes into the game and was diagnosed with a serious lay-off following a scan on Thursday. The playmaker suffered a fresh injury after the misery of previous
fitness problems that kept him from playing for almost two years.
The Dane signed for the Bundesliga club in 2009 when he transferred from English Premier League side, Fulham. However, an injury threatened spell which kept him on the sidelines for a period of 28 months due to a groin problem,
was expected to be past him when he made a comeback in the latter stages of the last campaign.
The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Denmark-c2884 international is now out for up to six more months. The team trainer Mirko Slomka conceded that the test results have turned out to be really bad for the player, who was blighted by injury throughout his Bundesliga
career.
"This is a bad diagnosis for Leon, who has an eternity of injury misfortune behind him," Hannover's coach Mirko Slomka was quoted as saying in an interview.
The coach wishes the 29-year-old a speedy recovery and admitted that the woeful news is terrible for the club as well, as they will have to find an ideal replacement for the central midfielder.
"I wish him all the best from the bottom of my heart. This also hurts the team since we have to replace a really strong player," he stated.
Hannover’s sporting director Jorg Schmadtke is confident that the talented player will stage a comeback and will be a better player than before when he comes back. He claimed that he knows the veteran personally and is aware of
the fact that he is a hard worker, and will do anything to get back as soon as possible.
"I know him and that he will work passionately on his comeback," he mused.
"He has immense will and the strength to suffer," he finally concluded.
Andreasen has a lot of potential and will endure the injury like a warrior.
