Arsenal forward and Russian international, Andrei Arshavin has gone on to blast all the rumours linking him with a move away from the Emirates and to Russian side Anzhi.
Anzhi have already gone on to sign http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan. The team had already been linked with a move for the Russian and following their recent success in the transfer
market, they were looking to seal the deal for the talented forward.
Nonetheless, Arshavin has gone on to state that he has no intention of leaving Arsenal just year and even if he was to leave, it would be for former club, Zenit St Petersburg and no other side.
When talking to the press, Arshavin is quoted to have said: "These are just rumours"
"I've always said that I'm playing where I want - in a top European club.”
He then went on to state that there was only one team that he would never join and that was Real Madrid, mainly because he was a http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 fan.
"If I ever decide to come back to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Russia-c2991, Zenit would be my first priority. As for Europe, there's only one club I would never go to - Real Madrid, because I'm a Barcelona fan."
Arshavin had been rumoured to be on his way out of the Gunners squad this summer. The player despite statistically having a rather impressive season, seemed to be rather low on form for most of last season.
Nonetheless, it now seems like the Russian is going to be running the show for Arsenal once again this coming season. Given the status of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Samir-Nasri-c32360 and Cesc Fabregas, the Gunners really need Arshavin to step his game up this coming season.
Should the player be able to deliver under pressure, then he might just go on to establish his name in Arsenal folklore.
