Andrei Arshavin looking to win big against Wigan
Arsenal’s Russian Assassin, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Andrei-Arshavin-c5771 has gone ahead and stated that he would like to destroy relegation strugglers Wigan, when they come to the Emirates this weekend. The player strongly feels that if the Gunners are able to secure a massive win over
Wigan, they could put their title challenge back on track.
The team will go into the game, after having destroyed West Ham by three goals to nil this past weekend. However, Arsenal’s week didn’t end just there, the team had a replay game with Leeds on Wednesday night and after having drawn with the team in the first
attempt, they went on to slot three past them and put them out of their misery by a margin of three goals to one.
At the moment, there are only two points separating the top three teams in the league, with the top three constituting of Manchester City, Manchester United and Arsenal. As a result Arshavin has gone on to insist that a single below-par performance could
spell the end of the title challenge for all the teams involved in the title race.
The player is reported to have said, "Unfortunately, we couldn't beat Wigan at their stadium. The next game will be held at the Emirates"
"The performance which Arsenal showed recently in the championship allows us to achieve the landslide victories, so I hope that the upcoming clash will be no exception.
"We need to catch up with the two Manchester teams."
Arshavin, while making those comments was probably well aware of the fact that he is currently one of the only players at the Emirates who is performing below par. The player when making those comments, was probably trying to send a message to the fans,
that he was back to his best and would be looking to go all out in the game against Wigan. If the Russian manages to do just that, then it is safe to say that Wigan’s troublesome season, is about to get a whole lot worse staring this weekend.
