Arsenal’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Andrei-Arshavin-c5771 thinks it was a smart decision to leave the Emirates and join Zenit on loan, in the winter transfer window.
The Gunners forward went on to spend most of the current season on the bench for the North London club and when he did step onto the pitch, he seemed to be lacking something.
However, following his return to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Russia-c2991, he seems to have stepped his game up and is now looking to regain his form, in order to make it into the national team’s squad for the upcoming Euro 2012.
The Gunners paid around fifteen million for the mercurial forward, but are now contemplating letting him leave for a fee of around seven million pounds.
When talking about his decision to return to Russia and take some time off from playing as a Gunner, the attacker is quoted to have said: "Without a doubt it was the right decision, there are many reasons why"
"First of all, I am now playing, and that is paramount for any player as training is no substitute for matches.”
"Second, I have returned to my hometown. Third, Zenit have done everything to make me feel comfortable and my thoughts are now only focused on football.”
The player then went on to admit that he didn’t know what he was going to be doing in the future, but that he would wait till the end of the Euro, to end up deciding just what he planned on doing in the future.
"I haven't yet thought about [my future]. Everything will be decided after the European Championships. Of course the result and the quality of play there could affect my destiny."
At the moment, many experts believe that it would be better for both http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 and Arshavin, if the player ended up making his return to Russia a permanent one.
There is no place for the Russian in the Gunners squad at the moment and in order for him to prolong his footballing career, he needs to continue playing football on regular basis.
It is now a wait to see just what the forward decides to do with his future.
