The Mexican international officially completed his much awaited move to the Mestalla after leading Deportivo La Coruna to Spanish Primera Division promotion.

Coruna in the Spanish Segunda Division.
The Guadalajara-born attacker scored a career-best 11 goals in his final season with Deportivo as he left the recently promoted outfit for the prospect of playing in the coming edition of the UEFA Champions League.
Reflecting on his transfer to Valencia, Guardado revealed that with the move to the Valencian club, he has completed a lifelong ambition of playing for a major European club.
He stated that his latest career move will allow him to further his footballing development after spending five years with Deportivo La Coruna.
Guardado admitted that he had hoped his transfer to the Mestalla would have happened earlier but stated that he has no qualms at joining Els Taronja as he is very happy at joining them at this point in time.
"From the first time I went to Europe to play an important team was one of my goals. I have been trying to make that leap. May have happened later than I expected, but I think things happen for up and eventually had to go and things to finish today in Valencia
and I am very happy, "he said.
While responding to questions about his future, Guardado coyly deflected the topic by pointing towards the fact of the matter that it is too soon to talk about such subjects as he is yet to be presented to Valencianistas.
"The truth I cannot talk much because I was asked there. My presentation will be next week and the club asked me issues not to mention much of Valencia, all my impressions want them to be there, but hey I said: I I feel very excited and happy and hopefully
it can be a time for me, "he said.
