The Spanish midfielder believes that even though the coach has changed, the pressure is still on the players who are always expected to perform phenomenally.
Last season Barcelona lost their chance of winning the UEFA Champions League for the second successive time, and the Spanish La Liga for the fourth successive time.
However, what they are really going to miss is the best coach in their history, Josep Guardiola, who left the club in order to take a break from football.
The Catalan coach helped Barcelona win 14 trophies during his three-year tenure at the club and that is definitely a feat which other managers can only dream of achieving.
With Guardiola leaving the club, the club’s management had to decide about the future manager and they decided to appoint the former assistant coach, Tito Vilanova, as the first-team manager for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604.
Vilanova has been working under Josep Guardiola for quite some time and he knows how things work around at the Nou Camp.
Therefore, Vilanova is expected to be the right choice. However, there is no doubt that the manager will be under a lot of pressure as he is replacing the likes of Josep Guardiola, a manager who is considered to be a legend at the Catalan capital.
However, even though many believe that Vilanova will be going through a lot of pressure, Andres Iniesta thinks that everything, eventually, is on the players.
While speaking about his team-mates, Andres Iniesta said:
"The manager has changed, but the main responsibility still lies with the players. It's our responsibility to give everything to keep this working.”
"The key to everything has been finding the right balance and we have all gone in the same direction, not just the players but everybody around us.”
"Although we've been together for a few years, his (Vilanova) responsibility isn't the same anymore.”
"At this club we always demand the very best possible, this year the same as any other. The important thing is for the team to be as hungry as ever."
Andres Iniesta is considered to be one of the best midfielders of this era and his role in Barcelona is always very important.
Therefore, Andres Iniesta will be helping Tito Vilanova win trophies in the upcoming season.
The Spaniard won the best player of the tournament award during the Euro 2012, as he helped his national team win its second European trophy in succession.
