Andres Villas Boas’ departure threatens mass exodus at FC Porto as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Radamel-Falcao-c30276 reveals desire to play at Chelsea
With former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Porto-c39186 boss Andres Villas Boas having signed three year deal with English Premier League giants Chelsea, a mass exodus is expected to begin, starting with striker Radamel Falcao.
Falcao and winger Hulk were the first two Porto players to claim that they were considering a move to Stamford Bridge after Villas Boas.
While a move for the Brazilian http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Hulk-c16436 seems highly unlikely, with the 24-year-old’s release clause worth a staggering £100 million, Falcao could be moving to the London club.
Falcao has made his desire to move to Chelsea public, but according to the player the Blues have yet to make an offer for him.
Falcao said in an interview:
“I am leaving things up to my agent.
I am very calm about the situation but I know there has been some movement.
My ambition is to keep working hard and I am convinced I can play in a superior league like http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749.
If Chelsea is interested in me then all that needs to happen is for negotiations to take place.”
It is believed that Andres Villas Boas himself is determined to bring the highly talented striker to his new side in the summer.
Falcao was an essential part of Andres Villas Boas’ side that broke and set countless records to claim the Primeira League, UEFA Europa League along with domestic Cups.
The 25-year-old forward has remarkable statistics in his two seasons at Porto, scoring 73 goals in 85 appearances in all competitions.
It is because of this that Andres Villas Boas is thought to want to bring Falcao to Stamford Bridge, hoping to freshen up the squad.
Some questioned if the FC Porto president Pinto da Costa would be willing to let his star players go, after having losing one of the best manager’s Porto have had.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Pinto-c30032 da Costa revealed he would not object to Falcao leaving as long as Chelsea agreed to pay the transfer fee expected by Porto.
The Porto president admitted that while he had not wanted Andres Villas Boas to leave, he had not objected to the 33-year-olds departure to the London club.
He insisted he would do the same with Falcao and any other player linked with the Blues, if the release clause or transfer fee was met.
Da http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Costa-c9458 said while speaking to reporters:
“If there are termination clauses we have to prepare for the possibility that a player will leave at the value set out.
But I am not going to negotiate that price with anyone.
As with Villas-Boas, there was no conversation with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786, just the money paid into our account to release him.”
