Question:

Andrew Bynum?

Haters and Fans alike why is their so much hate for the guy?, I mean Bynum is poised to be the Lakers replacement for Kobe as the team's franchise player. Once Kobe retires that is, he also has the potential to be one thee if not the most dominant center of near future. Taken 10th overall and playing the reserve role for most of his 3 year career, he still managed to double his stats with every passing season. Still people believe what he's done is nothing more than a fluke and that he won't be a success in the NBA. Don’t you think that it’s nothing more than a bunch of bull?, and he will have amazing success with Lakers giving them a very bright and promising future.

  1. i agree, your right!

  2. Idk man.

Andrew Bynum is going to be one of those centers of the future.

I guess people feel threatened by him. In the game before Andrew got hurt, he had 25points, 17rbs, 3blks on 10-13 shooting.

He was pretty much solid on his brief 07-08 season. In fact he was leading the league in FG%.

People say we Laker Fans are overrating him but obviously we are not.

He took on guys like Yao, Stoudamire, Okur, Ben Wallace, Camby, Howard, Biedrins, Kaman, Gasol....

    and did very well.

    Proof?

    Check his gamelog:

  3. agree

    i love bynum

but this injury is starting to worry me

    dont you think.

  4. They that if he had only play in the finals then the Lakers would win and would make Kevin Garnett realize that he isn't a superstar. But during the 2 games he played against Boston in the regular what did he contributed?

On the first game, he helped the team by adding 5 missed field goals, 2 turnovers and four fouls with just only 2 points.

On their second match, he gave perfect field goal but again he contributed 2 turnovers, 6 fouls with only 8 points.

  5. As a Laker fan I really like him and saw hints of greatness last season before he got hurt but he still has a lot to prove. Like can he play as well as he did at times for an entire season and can he stay healthy going forward.

On the flip side, when guys like Eric Dampier and Adonal Foyle are getting $50-60 million dollars it shows the lack of quality big men in this league. No wonder he became such a big deal. Personally, I think he'll be fine. Certainly not the second coming of Kwame Brown but more than likely will not retire as the greatest Laker center ever(tall order).

  6. i think bynum needs a combo guard to be wit him. hope that bynum and farmar can be an inside-outside tandem

  7. People will always hate on the Lakers....jealously of previous success? Probably.

Bynum is quite good - he'll never be the franchise player that Kobe was and still is, but he'll be an all star somewhere between 9-11 times in his career.

He's probably the only power Center in the league with legitmate post moves.

  8. BYNUM SUCKS, CHRIS BOSH OWNS HIM!

  9. I dont why they think bynum freakin sucks! he actually good.  im mean seriosly he and gasol with kobe fisher and odom is guna be a helll of a contendor in the west. i think people just hate the lakers and scince bynum wears lakers uniform they dont like him. i bet if he played on the like the freakin hornets or something they'd brag about him. but hes ours and we love him

  10. He is not that good LA fans wait till u see it.

  11. For sure agreed... keep in mind that people who criticize this guy are usually the haters of the team and so you shouldn't even be concerned with their opinions... As for Bynum he's still very young and even though he's not a rookie he is considered one of the greater young talents of the league. He has lots of potential to become a dominant centre in the future and with the help and support of Kareem he has developed into a very efficient player that can contribute by scoring in the low post, attracting the defense and hitting the glass for major rebounds. He is also athletic while being 7' tall and he has lots of talent as he showed earlier in the season.

He plays the game with fundamentals and never tries to do too much on his own (team player). If you remember right before he suffered the injury he had a stretch of games where he grabbed around 12 rebounds and scored 20 every single night! He showed everyone his athleticism and he's likely to be among the elite Centres of the league next season. His return can free-up Gasol who is more comfortable at the PF spot and his contribution to the team can take LA to the championship level. The Fans should definitely look forward to his Return...!

    Hope it Helped...!

  12. The Next Shaq I think he is the best Center next to Howard

  13. i think he is going to be one of those huge players who are alyays in the all star games, and are always on the mvp top 5. he is too young and when he stays healthy he will be great. and with kobe, gasol and odom (for now) bynum may be a 4th option maybe even third so he will be able to get experience without getting a lot of weight on his shoulders, his career has just started and he has shown to be a really dominant player so he has the stuff to become a great player

  14. As a young player, coming off of an injury during his first season while getting regular minutes, Bynum has a lot to prove. However, if he can stay away from the injury bug, and return to his pre-injury form and improvement track, he will be a force to be reckoned with and one of the top centers in the future.

  15. he is severely overrated

  16. hes not overrated. hes brand new and was already averagin 10 pts/10 boards a game.

he can only improve, i agree with you.

  17. Overrated.He had a double-double season in year 07-08 because he only played 30+ games.He played 80+ games in 06-07,and what,7 points and 6 rebounds?We don't know if he's consistent yet.

  18. got great potential. ain't that many great 7 footers in the league anyway. but has 2 show n prove. ppl talk like he's being averaging 20 n 10 4 years or something. playing great half a season doesn't cut it. gotta do it a whole season, and then not just one season. consistently year in n year out.

  19. TOTALLY AGREE.  iM A DIE HARD FAN AND HE HAS THE POTENTIAL TO BE A GREAT CENTER IN THE LEAGUE IF HE KEEPS WORKNG HARD TO GET BETTER.

  20. I think he'll be a great player, but he will never be Kobe good.

He will be an all-star. That's for sure.

  21. he sucks one year and the next year he avgs. 14 points and everyone thinks hes the best. OVERRATED.

if he can do better than last year b4 he got injured ill give me props. but untill then. hes overrated

  22. oh please bynum is fine. lets see you scored 14 points a game. after that you can speak on basketball. the kid got an injury he'll be ok and he will dominate

  23. Get back to me again after the guy actually averages 15 points a game.

  24. He's only had a a good half season, but Laker fans think he's going to be the answer to the Lakers losing the Finals. He's not going to put up the same stats as last year w/ Gasol in the picture. He going to get less rebounds and maybe less time because of Gasol. Plus we might not know if he's fully healthy yet or if he will coexist w/ Gasol. It's all hype for the Laker fans because they lost in the Finals badly.
