I say yes because in the west the only Center that is guaranteed to be a lock is Yao and here are some other centers

Tyson Chandler- excellent defender but not a all star in my book

Marcus Camby- see Chandler

Greg Oden- I need to see him actually play in the NBA first

Andres Bedris- are you kidding me

Shaq- past his prime about 3 years past his limit

so Bynum could easily make the team as a backup to Yao what do you think his only other competition is Chris Kaman

W/o CP3 great ally oop passes, Tyson is NOTHING. dO you remember when the lakers killed the hornets by 29? in that game Bynum Killed Tyson Chandler. Bynum had 17 points 9 rebounds and 4 assist and 3 blocks while Tyson Chandler 11 points 7 rebs 0 assist 2 Turn overs.

Bynum is one of very few Centers who are TRUE centers.  He has extremely long arms and is a extremely good blocker. He is like a softer version of shaq, but he is more mobile then shaq and have very good footwork.  When Lakers take over next season, Bynum and pau gasol and Kobe will be in the all star game.  Bynum should of been an All Star last season.  IN every phoenix Suns game Bynum played last season, Amare couldnt score over him and Bynum put a career best over Amare.  Bynum Destroyed Chris Kaman.  Only 2 i would say thats better then bynum is Dwight and Yao

I think Andrew Bynum will be good but not an all-star yet. The west has some of the most amazing players on it and it will be hard to go up against them (with votes and stuff).

He's goin up against Yao (everyone he's gonna be the starter)

Tyson is nothing without cp3 like most of u said here he only get his points from alley hoops or wide open dunks. Well did u see that game where Bynum i think was past from free throw line then he drove in and he jumped up with wrong foot and he dunked well Chandler cant do that. MY ANSWER IS BYMUN  BACKUP NEXT YEAR.

Bynum will definitely not be an all star...he only played 35 games last season and yes he did good on most of those games but you can't automatically assume he will be an all star and be as good as Shaquille O'neal or some of the other great centers that have played in the NBA he might have just been having a good game streak like most underrated players have on occasion.

Before Bynum went down his numbers were second to only one other player.... Dwight Howard....... If Bynum is playing at this caliber again then he should be an all star....... He has the potential to be the best center in the NBA........

Didn't Bynum make Chandler his bit+ch when they played against each other? Chandler has no offensive skill what so ever, if you watch a hornets game you will see all his points is from alley oops and open dunks created by chris paul.
