Andrew Eade will not be renewing his contract as the CEO of Auckland Cricket, ending an eight year association with the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/New-Zealand-c754 club side.
The chief executive will effectively end his reign on the 22nd of this month, leaving the club in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Gordon-James-Muchall-c60376 better position from where he initially took over.
He said that he had been contemplating about his decision to step down for several months. However, he believed that it is a tough decision to make, though he was adamant that the time was right to move on.

There were testing times for the Auckland cricket recently, where they upgraded the stadium to accommodate the Rugby World Cup.
For that reason, domestic matches had to be played at Colin Maiden Park but with increasing turnovers and good domestic showing by the Auckland side, Eade was http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Arthur-Percival-Day-c45927 to leave them on an excellent financial base.
On the state of cricket, he proudly stated, “When I started we had a team of eight or nine people and $2.5 million business turnover. Now there’s a staff of 18 and $4.5 million turnover.”
Looking at the financial figures, it is believed that there has been a significant increase over the past several years, which is testament to the work that Eade has put in.
During that time Auckland cricket excelled on field as well. They won both the T20 and One-Day format in the domestic competition last season.
A lawyer by profession, Eade’s association with cricket has been for more than two decades. He had been involved with the International Cricket Council in the 90’s as Regional Development Manager for the East Asia-Pacific region.
His work for Auckland and New Zealand cricket has been appreciated by Auckland Cricket http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mal-Loye-c1879, Rex Smith, who acknowledged Eade’s contribution and passion towards cricket.

Auckland cricket is yet to announce Eade's successor, which certainly will be a hard act to follow, considering what Eade has achieved for New Zealand and Auckland cricket as a whole.
