Andrew Luck takes Indianapolis Colts a step closer to playoffs – NFL News
The Indianapolis Colts are only a game away to reap benefits of their superb effort this season, which is surprise to almost the entire American football community that discarded the side a year earlier when they could manage win of only two games in the
regular season.
With another remarkable victory on the past weekend courtesy of the excellent display of skills of their rookie offence leader Andrew Luck, the Colts need another win to be through to the playoffs. If they manage it will be probably the biggest surprise
of the National Football League (NFL) this season.
Luck was rated to be a matured leader the minute onlookers and commentators saw him hitting the field in Indianapolis for the first time earlier in the season. His credentials did speak of his abilities of being a rookie but someone who knows the pro league
inside out and for many years.
He has proved his mettle since start of the season, and is not done yet. The credit of taking the Colts closer to the playoffs goes solely to the young quarterback. It is just not that he has played some good football but he managed to break many records
on the course.
There is a unanimous view in the league that Luck is not just good in one area, but in all areas. He is a complete package. Colts owner Jim Irsay could not have wished for a better player at the time he was losing a star from the past, Peyton Manning, who
had led them to many glories in about past 13 years.
A particular strength that the player naturally enjoys over other offence leaders is that he plays his natural game irrespective of the pressure the team is in. His refusal to budge under pressure has helped him pull off some of impossible victories.
He has led the Colts to a number of victories in closing minutes of the games, which shows he is capable of spotting and exploiting opportunities without being affected during any part of a game.
