  1. Andrew Ryan and John Galt, yes (Andrew Ryan himself was based off the author of Atlas Shrugged, Ayn Rand), since they were both minimalistic government supporters who wanted an absolute free market and a progressive enlightenment-based capitalist society. Tyler Durden's an social-anarchist. He doesn't believe in free trade or class systems, but wishes to bring about 'absolute equality' through lawlessness... His ideal city can be summed up pretty well from that one monologue 'I want to be able to climb up the ruins of the Empire State Building and gaze down upon millions of people beating corn in unison...' As you can imagine, for Ryan and Galt who belived in the absolute power of the 'self', that sort of collectivistic society would be absolute h**l XD

  2. Bioshock is largely based on Atlas Shrugged.  The name Andrew Ryan itself is just a scramble of the name Ayn Rand (with the "rew" added in).  Ryan is basically a futuristic video game version of Galt.  They have the exact same ideas.

Tyler Durden on the other hand is nothing like Ryan or Galt.  They want to raise man up while he wants to tear him down.  They believe in the perfect capitalistic society.  Tyler wants anarchy.
