http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 in the fourth and final Test of the npower series,
to be played at The Oval from August 18 to 22, 2011.
Strauss feels that Anderson is fit after the pacer took part in a practice session on Wednesday, August 17, and there is nothing serious regarding his situation.
The skipper hoped that Anderson passes through the fitness test, which will be conducted on the eve of the fourth Test, so they can go into the match with the same winning combination.
“He seems absolutely fine. Like all these things, it's a bit of a niggle. We will have to wait and see how he is in the morning before deciding, but we are very comforted that he came through today. I think he will be OK,” expressed
Strauss.
England has an unassailable lead of three games to nil against India, and the English skipper wants his side not to become complacent and finish the tournament on a high by thrashing their opponents in the final match.
Strauss yearns for a whitewash over Team India and wants his side not to bask on previous wins.
“We approach this in exactly the same way as we would any test match. We are desperate to win, desperate to finish on a high and we have got a great opportunity to do so here this week. It's not a time for us to get too carried
away with ourselves. We need to keep our feet very firmly on the ground, keep doing what we have done and improve as a side,” said Strauss.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013 has accomplished the long awaited dream of becoming the top Test team, and the left-hander does not want to lose the coveted spot now.
Strauss also revealed that England is focusing on one game at a time, as he believes that this is the best way to go forward and maintaining the top spot on ICC's Test rankings.
