frankly, i dont give a rats how many runs he scored when he played IPL, as long as he makes runs for australia! to me making runs for you country, in whatever form of the game, is more important then runs for a franchise team such as the ones in the IPL

I feel that even Andrew Symonds wanted to play all the IPL matches, but the rules are very clear.....

He has to play for his country first and then rest is the next.....

The fact of the matter is there are people in IPL who have to play like symonds whether they like it or not.......imagine rahul dravid playing 20-20.........Mallya wont care if he is the " Wall " he just cares whether he scores runs or not !

Symonds earned the money this year but from next year there shall be a separate window from ICC and we shall see him play  for all games .......then it shall be worth the money !

1)he has got this money for 3 years ,not 6 matches

2)not a single paymeny has been made by BCCI to hom yet

3)Only 15% of the initial money is given to the player in first tournament

4)He has to endorse those advertisement by wearing those sponsors logo

5)Western Australia and other counties give payment on per match basis,so he is losing all these money

6)Even there is a provision ,that if the player plays less than the  minimum number of matches ,then he wont pe paid fully

7)Except for Australian board contract ,he has to leave all the commitments from all cricket baord for these years ...

Much more is there ,now say

Cristiano ronaldo gets 1.85 lakh per playing minute in EPL ...SHOCKED !!!

I think these players are not overpaid at all ...

He played 4 matches.Not 6 matches.

But yes,some cheap players have played better than many costly players.Kaif was the most costliest player for rajasthan but he hasnt done so much where others are.But this contract is for 3 years & lets see in the next 2 sessions.For now,Deccan Chargers have been ruined.

He will get the full amount only if he plays all the matches.  Payment to the players who do not play all the matches will be on pro-rata basis.
