Andrey Kuznetsov crushes Walter Trusendi in the second round – Trnava Challenger 2012 CH
Fifth seeded Andrey Kuznetsov qualified for the next round of the Arimex Challenger 2012, held at the courts of Slovakia. Despite Walter Trusendi’s tireless efforts to upset his rival, he received a straight
sets defeat in a total of one hour and 10 minutes in the second round of the ATP Challenger Tour event.

The 21-year-old Russian confidently stepped on the court and did not let his rival dominate throughout the opener. He broke his competitor’s entire serves in the set to sustain his unassailable lead. He progressed
without facing even a single break point and gleefully concluded the set with a 6-0 win.
The 27-year-old Italian participant double faulted four times and had a lower initial serve presentation of 44 percent. He was also unable to capitalize even a single break point, whereas his rival won three
from five. The Russian professional displayed a relatively better initial serve of 56 percent, with nine of 10 first and four of eight second deliver points.
Ranked 387th in the ATP World Tour Rankings, Trusendi gradually picked momentum but he was not ready to sustain his first serve. The right-hander Russian secured the initial three games
in a series and marked a 3-love lead. The Italian proved insignificant in front of his opponent and Kuznetsov finished the set with a 6-2 win.
The higher ranked Russian participant had a below average first serve presentation of 45 percent but he bagged away nine of 10 first and seven of 12 second serve points. From four serve breaks, he could only
materialize two and his challenger could not secure even one. The Italian professional had a improved initial serve precision of 69 percent converting 10 of 22 first and six of 10 second delivery points.
The duo has encountered each other for the second time and previously the Italian senior defeated his rival at his home ground. After a tough match, 7-6(8), 2-6, 6-4 in the first round of the Rome Challenger
2012, Trusendi wrapped up the victory.
The world number 116th, Kuznetsov will contest against the German qualifier, Julian Reister in the quarter-finals. Previously, he gave the top seeded Czech straight sets upset and has a fair chance
to prevail over all over powering odds.
