Andriej Kapas and Alexander Rumyantsev succeed into the second qualifier – Szczecin Challenger 2012 
Andriej Kapas defeats Jakup Gewert 6-2, 6-0
Right-hander, Andriej Kapas, crushed his fellow citizen, Jakup Gewert, in straight sets in the initial qualifying round of the Szczecin Challenger 2012, held in Poland. Kapas jolted down 6-2, 6-0 on the eve of
Saturday.
The 23-year-old, Kapas, retained his initial serve in the opener set and but the score line evened out to 2-2 in the fourth game. He gave a tough competition to his opponent and confidently broke his serve in
the sixth game to mark his 4-2 lead. Towards the end, Gewert lost his confidence and concluded the set with a 2-6 loss.
In second round, Kapas did not face any single hindrance by his opponent and he advanced with his high pace game plan and did not let the 18-year-old Gewert to hold even a single serve. He clinched the winning
title with an outstanding win of 6-0.
Gewert manifested 59 percent initial serve accuracy but he lost the lead after coughing double faults four times in the set. He bagged away 12 of 24 first and five of 17 second serve points. On the other hand,
Kapas displayed 65 percent initial serve precision, with 20 of 26 first and 10 of 14 second severe points
Alexander Rumyantsev prevailed over Adil Shamasdin 6-1, 6-0
Right-hander Russian, Alexander Rumyantsev, crushed the Canadian native, Adil Shamasdin, in the initial qualifying round of the Szczecin Challenger. The Russian contender penned down his 6-1, 6-0 win on Saturday.
The 20-year-old, Rumyantsev, took a classic start and broke his rival’s initial serve in the opener. He clinched the winning opportunity to secure the opening three games in row, marking his 3-love lead. Although,
his rival struggled hard to fight back, the Russian advanced with a strong resolve and closed the set with a 6-1 score.
In the following set, the Canadian veteran was unable to lock the lead and could not maintain his beginning serve. On the contrary, the Russian professional maintained his superior game plan and did not face
any resistance. He concluded the set with a 6-0 win.
Rumyantsev manifested 70 first serve accuracy throughout the match and did not even double fault once. Luckily he managed to capitalize 20 of 26 first and nine of 11 second serve points. The Canadian right-hander
secured 68 percent initial serve but double faulted four times. He also attained 16 of 32 first and four of 15 second serve point.
