Andy Carroll confident of win over Arsenal in the Premier League: EPL News
Andy Carroll has insisted that Liverpool have the quality in their side to beat Arsenal in the Premier League clash next week. The forward said that he has done it already with his former team, Newcastle United, this season and
hopes to repeat that feat with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809.
The Reds will take on Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday, April 17. The clash is crucial for both sides as the hosts look to turn the title race back on whereas Liverpool look for a fifth place finish in the Premier League.
Carroll revealed that the Londoners have a very good side which is capable of punishing any team at home. He claimed that his side will have to be tactically perfect to face them and don’t give them any room as they have players
like Cesc Fabregas and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Robin-van-Persie-c31380 in their roster.
“We need to work hard to close them down and make sure that we don't give them space or time on the ball because we know what a good side Arsenal are and what they can do if you allow them to do that,” the striker was quoted as
saying in an interview.
The 22-year-old insisted that the Gunners can surely be beaten at home. Carroll scored the winner when Newcastle United defeated Arsenal at the Emirates in November. The striker praised his former team of a brilliant performance
that day and claimed that he could also repeat that feat with his new club.
“It was a great ball in from Joey Barton and it was something that we had practised in training beforehand. He put it right where I wanted it and the 'keeper was in two minds whether to come and claim it or not. I got there first
and put it into the back of the net. There's no reason why Liverpool can't win there and all the lads are confident that we can beat Arsenal,” Carroll concluded.
Arsenal are currently second on the Premier league table with 62 points whereas Liverpool are sixth with 48 points. Both sides have six fixtures left till the end of the season.
