Andy Carroll determined to prove that he is worth £35 million pound

at the club and knows that the task at hand is hard to live up to; however, he believes that he can manage well.
The 22-year-old is reported to have said, “It was a lot of money but I need to do what I have to do to prove the money was worth it. I am here to score goals and create chances for the team and that is what I can do. I have scored goals at Newcastle and
that is what I want to bring here.”
There were a number of controversies that had come to surface regarding the player’s move away from Newcastle, mainly regarding his leaked text messages that claimed the player had no intention to part ways from St James’ Park. However, the player is not
concerned with any such stories, as he is looking to re-build his future and adapt to life at Liverpool.
The English International also told the media that he was overwhelmed by the reception that he got from the fans at Anfield and would be willing to go all out for them in order to prove to them that his arrival at the team was the mark of a new era for the
club.
“Yes, it was a fantastic reception. The fans have been great with us. When I signed on Monday – that was great as well. There were a 100 fans outside Melwood waiting for me to turn up.”
Carroll is yet to play for Liverpool, as the player is currently suffering from a thigh injury. However, he is set to make his debut for the Reds over the next fortnight and when that does happen, he can do all his talking on the pitch.
