The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 defender has come out and supported his fellow team mates bid to play for the England national team in the summer as England take on their fellow European nations in the 2012 European Championships...
Carroll has been touted up as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 in their 4-1 league win
over the Blues. Carroll was troubling throughout the match for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/John-Terry-c18895 due to his aerial strength and that is something that can play to England’s advantage over the summer as well when they play more continental teams which are not
accustomed to facing players like Carroll.
England’s new manager Roy Hodgson still has to released his preliminary squad sheet for the European Championships but there is a good chance that Carroll will be on that list considering that England do not have many other options.
There is a chance that Welbeck and Sturridge can lead the line for the Three Lions but both the strikers are seen as too similar and inexperienced at the moment.
Johnson said, "Should he go? Yes, definitely Johnson. In the last few weeks Andy has been fantastic for us - he has been unplayable. Chelsea have got two big centre-halves and he just threw them around. He looks like he's quicker
and he's working a lot harder. He's doing really well. John Terry looked petrified at times.”
He added, "Andy is a big lump but he's good on the ball and works really hard. He will scare a lot of defenders. I don't want the season to end now! It would be nice for me to go to the Euros, but I have one more game to go and
we'll see what happens after that. You can see that I'm more confident now when I step out on to the pitch, and I feel I have shown that in the last couple of games."
