http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Andrew-Flower-c44362 endorses English players' behaviour - Cricket News Update
The English cricket team's head coach, Andy Flower, laid complete support for his players conduct against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Punjab-c833 Cricket Association Stadium, Mohali, Chandigarh,
on Thursday, October 20, 2011. England lost the match by five wickets and as a result of the victory India wrapped the series with an unassailable 3-0 lead.
Flower was being bombarded with question from media personals during a press conference, as they wanted his say on the £250 fine imposed on http://www.senore.com/Cricket/TT-Bresnan-c2711.
The head coach was of the view that the penalty levied upon Bresnan by match referee, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Roshan-Siriwardene-Mahanama-c86863, was uncalled for and the officials should have let the cricketer off with a warning.
Endorsing his player’s behaviour, Flower said, “Tim Bresnan is an outstanding young man with a very good disciplinary record. To be quite honest, I think in this instance it is a harsh judgment - in that it was quite a frustrating
over for him.”
Bresnan, who went for some runs during 18th over of Indian innings, was found in breach of the International Cricket Council (http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sudhir-Asnani-c91642.
Clarifying Bresnan’s actions the former Zimbabwean cricketer said, “His snatching of a cap was done out of frustration at five overthrows and an edge down to the third-man boundary, as opposed to any dissent or any decision. I
have no problem at all with Tim's behaviour. He has an outstanding conduct record.”
Jade Dernbach, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Yorkshire-c867 pacer, was also not in the best of moods in the game against India. The pacer was smashed all-around the park by Indian batsmen and this caused him to lose temper.
Sympathising with the youngster, English coach said, “You’re making a judgment on his body language not being great. I thought his body language showed that he cared about winning the game or contributing towards winning the game
for England. He'd just had a catch dropped and that is frustrating.”
Flower further revealed that the match referee has talked to captains of both teams and the situation is back to normal. The 43-year-old concluded that English players are balanced and know their responsibility towards the game.
