Born on 15 May 1987 in the city of Glasgow, Andrew "Andy" Murray is a professional tennis star from England. The top ranked tennis ace from Great Britain is currently ranked number four in the world by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP). He remained at the number two spot from 17 August to 31 August back in 2009. The 23-year-old Murray jumped into the top ten world rankings on the very first occasion back in 2007. The right-handed Murray has so far made his way into a total of two major finals at the United States Open back in 2008 as well as the hard court Australian Open earlier this season - finishing as runners up on both occasions against the Swiss tennis maestro, Roger Federer.

Murray next played at the 2010 Farmers Classic tennis tournament as a wild card entrant. He played quite well and reached the final round of the competition after knocking down a couple of significant players such as Tim Smyczek, Alejandro Falla as well as Feliciano Lopez.
