in the All England Lawn Tennis Club on Saturday.
In the earlier round of the Olympics, Robson faced defeat at the hands of Russian beauty Maria Sharapova in the women’s singles but luckily got a wildcard entry for the mixed doubles at the London Olympics. The underdog is
still is in state of surprise on moving up to the finals of the tournament however, Murray’s support has blown an entire new confidence into her.
In a post match press conference she said, “I’m watching everything, including the guys winning the rowing and I just hope we can do it.”
For Murray, it will be his third final at courts of Wimbledon. The 25-year-old will play against the reigning world number one, Roger Federer in the men’s singles on Sunday.
“I just really wanted to win – both of us did,” said the world number four, Murray, “It was an emotional end to the match and she served great to give me a chance to control the net. I am glad we did because it would have
been unfair if we had not. It has been different to what I normally do, but I have enjoyed the whole event and [Sunday] is pretty much the perfect end to the tournament for me, and I will try to win both.”
The Great Britain’s team is strong enough to handle the pressure in the final matchup. This is majorly due to the Scot’s involvement and passion due to which the duo was able to secure the crucial points in the tournament.
Their triumph in the semi finals has guaranteed them an Olympics silver in the mixed doubles. Previously, Charles Dixon and Edith Hannam secured a medal for Great Britain in 1912 at Stockholm.
The British duo is ready to deliver the mixed doubles final their best shot. They will be playing their final match with the winner of the other semi final brawl to be contested between the top seeded Victoria Azarenka and
