Andy Murray begins his early practice in London – Tennis News

British number one, Andy Murray, starts early practice for the Barclays ATP (Association of Tennis Professionals) World Tour Finals at his home soil after exiting from third round at the BNP Paribas Masters in Paris Bercy.
Seeded third in this event, Murray crashed out by the Polish qualifier, Jerzy Janowicz, in brutal three sets in the third round. He made quick in-roads and pulled out the opener with a 7-5 score line.
The Scot maintained consistency in his game and with an early break of serve, he took a 5-3 lead. Murray was serving for the match in the 10th game but lost the track and eventually equalised the set scores.
In the final set, he failed to find his rhythm and consequently endured a 7-5, 6-7(4), 2-6 loss at the hands of the world number 69.
He followed footsteps of second seeded Novak Djokovic who was underplayed against America’s Sam Querrey in his opening match at this ATP Masters 1000 event. The world number two also made quickly on the right path. He carved out the opener with a bagel.
However, the Serbian number one stepped off steam in the second set tie-breaker and eventually endured a 6-0, 6-7(5), 4-6 loss at the hands of the world number 23.
When asked about affect of early exits from Paris Masters, Murray reflected:
"Only time will tell really. A lot of the players will have had slightly different run-ins to the O2. Obviously me and Novak lost early this week; Roger didn't play, and then I think the rest of the guys are still in here.”
The 25-year-old believes that London contenders who are left at the Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy may gain confidence boost. However, they may not adjust to the conditions in London with their late arrival.
"You never know, maybe the guys that go deep here they'll have confidence from having a good tournament. But they may arrive a little bit later and might take a while to get used to the conditions.”
The Scott booked his flight to London after suffering the early defeat. He will return to courts on Saturday.
"I'll be in London tonight. I'll have some rest and I'll come back to practice on Saturday."
The world number one Roger Federer, who skipped the Paris Masters event with fatigue, will join Murray at O2 as well.
