Question:

Andy Murray has a chance?

Andy Murray is playing brilliantly against an accomplished clay court player in Acasuso. He looks up there with Nadal, Djokovic and Federer. If he keeps playing naturally without trying to be tactical and getting it wrong, I think he has a good shout at going far. Is he due to meet any of the top players (Nadal, Djokovic etc) and What part of the draw is he in?(Is he with Nadal?)

And finally will Murray at least reach his first Grand Slam Quarter-Final?

  1. Andy Murray is in Rafa Nadal's quarter of the draw, and would have to possibly get by David Nalbandian to reach a potential quarterfinal against Nadal.  I agree with you that Murray just needs to play and stop thinking too much on the court.  His dropshots can be brilliant at times, but dreadful at others, and he uses them too much.  He has such a great natural feel for the game, and he can get too bogged up at times trying to outwit his opponents.  Hopefully he can make it pretty far at Roland Garros, but I'm waiting for him to really make an impression at Wimbledon.

  2. Acasuso is not a clay court player. Murray is ok, but not great mentally. He will lose in the 3rd round for sure against Nicolas Almagro.

  3. He might reach the QF but not further. Murray is Ok, but his mentality is really poor, until he stops walking around the court like hes depressed and is having the worst time of his life he won't win a GS. The man said it himself, he needs to grow up on court. Until his does this I can't see any GS oppertunitys for him.

  4. I agree, Murray did well to beat Acasuso and if he can just keep calm and stay controlled, he should go far. He's up against Nicholas Almago in the third round, and if he keeps winning he could meet Nadal or Djokovic first, who are both in his section. But Federer isn't, so he won't meet him yet, thankfully.

Regarding the quarter final, yeah, I think he can do it.
