Andy Murray preparing to launch his 2013 tennis campaign – Tennis News
Phenomenal British athlete, Andy Murray, considers 2012 to be one of the most stupendous years of his career. He is all set to rock his game plan for the next year and outmuscle all the over powering odds.
In an interview, Murray said, “My body changes, so things hurt a bit more. Last year I was doing a lot of beach running at 6.30 in the morning. The benefits were great but I wasn't able to train that hard the next day or in the
afternoon because I was sore and stiff. Also I used to spend a lot of time on the track. I've cut down a bit on that and started using a machine called a VersaClimber, where you climb using your legs and arms. I started using it seven, eight months ago. It's
really tough. The last couple of days have been hard.”
The British number one aims to maintain his excellent performance with the arrival of new coach, Ivan Lendl. The two have developed a very good understanding and a cordial relationship, which has drastically aided in Murray’s success
in the earlier past. He is working hard to draft his campaign for 2013 and preparing excellent strategies against his high ranked professional. After his defeat at the 2012 Wimbledon Championships, Murray was extremely disappointed but he picked pace at the
London 2012 Olympics by attaining his first gold medal in men’s single category and silver in mixed double category.
He is ready to encounter the force of the reigning world number one, Novak Djokovic. Murray is anticipating the arrival of the king of clay, Rafael Nadal. Despite of his physical instability, Nadal can still manage to take down
the young Scot any time.
The right-hander Scot is training day and night, as he is very determined to take the front row. After his win at the US Open Grand Slam, he is more confident than before. He is motivated about his future tournaments because he
believes that he can take over any competitor. He believes that all the pain that he has faced in the past is worth it, as it has helped him to mature to a great degree.
