Andy Murray saw off Bai Yan, enters third round of Shanghai Masters
The British ace tennis star Andy Murray has successfully qualified for the third round of the ongoing Shanghai Masters tennis tournament. Murray outclassed his Chinese unseeded rival, Bai Yan, in a comprehensive manner.
In the second round match of Shanghai Masters the current World number four hammered the World number four hundred and sixty-five pretty easily to qualify for the third round of the event.
Bai Yan stunned the World number thirty, Radek Stepanek, in the first round but Murray seemed a bit too tough for the talented Chinese player. Murray snatched the victory in two sets and settled the brawl at 6-2 6-2.
After winning the match the British number one Murray expressed his thoughts by saying that he did pretty well in the match and totally out classed his wildcard entrant Bai Yan. When Murray was asked about his physical and playing form the twenty-three year
old said that so far he is feeling fit and ready to rumble.
Murray had some issues regarding some mental and physical stress before the event. While answering a question about the matter the Scotsman said that he is feeling perfect to play.
He added by saying that he has been sick after the US Open Grand Slam and his major focus is to attain perfect physical fitness. He added that he wants to spend more time in the court and practice is very important for him to keep his winning streak alive.
When he was asked about his aims and ambitions for the upcoming matches the British ace said that he will not change his approach in the next match against the Frenchman Chardy and will try his level best to give him a very strong challenge. Murray continued
by saying that he will try to keep his nerve during the long and powerful rallies. Andy Murray is very well aware of Chardy’s strong forehand shot. The Scot said that he will try to keep the ball away from the middle of the court to give Chardy a tough time.
The game of Bai Yan has been strongly admired by the critics and tennis fans after Yan’s victory against Stepanek in the first round of the tournament. Murray also admired Yan’s efforts and said that Yan was fast in the court and the way he was hitting the
ball was very impressive. Later the Briton added that during the match he was trying to hit clean shots and tried his level best to make fewer mistakes and so far he is happy with the result.
The twenty-three years old British top tennis star, Andy Murray, will now face the current World number fifty-nine Jeremy Chardy of France. The twenty-three year old Frenchman defeated Alexandr Dolgopolov after a three setter stamina jolting battle by 6-1
5-7 6-2 to qualify for the third round of the event.
On the other hand the current World number two, Serbian Novak Djokovic, saw off his ace rival, thirty-one years old Ivan Ljubicic of Croatia after a two setter battle. The Serb won the match pretty convincingly 6-3 6-3.
Elsewhere, the current World number one Spaniard Rafael Nadal and the Swiss legendary tennis ace Roger Federer will face their opponents on Wednesday.
The former World number thirty-one, Chardy, is trying to clutch back his winning form and is currently going through some ups and downs in his professional tennis career.
On the other hand Andy Murray is trying hard to regain his physical fitness. The match between French and Briton is no doubt going to be a thrilling one as it is expected that both the players will throw everything but the kitchen sink to grasp victory.
