Andy Murray talks about his experience of playing under the roof – Tennis News

World number four, Andy Murray, has finally talked about something other than winning a Grand Slam at Wimbledon Championships and capping the glory with a gold medal at the same arena in Olympics. He thinks that playing under roof
is extremely difficult. He followed up this press conference after a quick fire against the Cypriot tennis ace, Marcos Baghdatis, in the third round on Saturday. He won the match 7-5 3-6 7-5 6-1.
Murray stated, “With the roof there's always going to be some difficult situations for the tournament director or the referee. Yesterday's match was a perfect example. Do we start the match with the roof on so there are no delays?
On Friday I think they got criticised quite a lot because it didn't rain at all and the roof was shut the whole day, when it shouldn't have been, because it's obviously meant to be an outdoor event. Apart from that, people want to see tennis. If it does rain,
having the roof is a huge benefit because there is always guaranteed matches going on."
He was right about the fact that matches that are delayed are not contested under the roof. He might be criticized for his lack of ability to win a Grand Slam at elite platform. However, his comments are mostly correct about the
activities happening in the world of tennis.
Recently, he was teased by the Spanish tennis ace, Rafael Nadal, in a restaurant when he was having dinner with his beloved girlfriend, Kim Sears. The rumours floated across the corridors of tennis professionals and everyone was
mocking Murray about it. So, a lot of good and funny stuff is happening in his life that means that he is enjoying his moments but it is believed that everything will be flushed down the gutter once he loses at Wimbledon.
At the moment, he is in the fourth round of the Wimbledon Championships and his next opponent is the 16th seed Croatian, Marin Cilic. Hopefully he will perform well against Cilic and not leave the fans dejected on Monday.
